October 2011 Newsletter
Message from the LPS President
I must thank all our presenters at last weeks “Capillary Pressure and Saturation Height Function” seminar. The audience were entertained by experts from academia, service companies and operators. Just under a hundred people attended the seminar and comments were all very favourable.
The final one day seminar of 2011 will be on Thursday 15th December. We aim to explore new developments and interpretation techniques in NMR petrophysics. The programme is taking shape and should be finalised in the next few weeks. See this newsletter for the seminar poster and a registration form. We will be holding our Christmas party in a local hostelry after the seminar. So why not come along to the seminar and combine a day of enlightenment with an evening of socialising.
A provisional list for next year’s LPS Committee has been formulated. Thank you to all who volunteered to help. The committee will be formally approved at the AGM on the Monday 7th November.
We have one more evening meeting before the AGM. On Monday 3rd October Iain Whyte from Tullow Oil will be talking about “Application of new and advancing technologies – an operators opinion and experience”. The meeting starts at 6.30pm and all are welcome.
All the Best
Adam LPS President
