A message from the President
Winter is fast approaching and it is getting colder by the day. As the dark evenings draw in we all need to seek out a friendly face and convivial company. To this end why not pop round to one of our evening talks? The next one will be on Monday 11th October and is a case study from BP. Elnur Binyatov will discuss the use of measurement after drilling and pressure while drilling for interpreting hole problems. The meeting starts at 6pm and all are welcome, members and non-members.
Thank you to all our speakers at September’s Carbonates III seminar. We had a good attendance and very positive feedback on all the talks. The final one day seminar of the year will be on Monday 13th December and is the next instalment of our ‘Basic Formation Evaluation’ series. The seminar will focus on core to log integration and the petrophysical inputs for reservoir models. The Basic FE seminars are aimed at ‘new’ and non-petrophysicists who need to use log and core data. So if you know of any young petrophysicists, engineers or geologists who would be interested in spending a day focussing on our world please encourage them to come along.
