November 2011 Newsletter
Message from the LPS President
The hour has just gone back and we are now well a truly into winter. I can not think of a better way to brighten up the winter evenings than a visit to the LPS Annual General Meeting. We convene at the Geological Society at 6pm, Monday 7th November. The formal part of the meeting will take about thirty minutes. We will review the financial state of the society and vote in next year’s committee. After the society business we have a special talk from David Fishman of Fugro Robertson on ‘Historical Oil Prices and Forecasting’. Wine and savouries will be served after David’s presentation.
The programme for the ‘NMR Petrophysics’ one day seminar on Thursday 15th December has been finalised. There are eleven talks from service companies and operators covering a wide range of NMR applications both in the laboratory and down hole. See this newsletter for the seminar poster and a registration form. We will be holding our Christmas party in the evening after the seminar. The venue for the party has not been set but we will send out an invite when all is confirmed.
All the Best
Adam LPS President
